NT641 - Hermeneutics
Course Purpose
The purpose of this course is for the student to understand & to apply the hermeneutical method in order to preach or to teach in a local church with the end of this being the glorifying & enjoying God forever.
Course Description
Hermeneutics is the process of interpreting the Biblical texts of the Old & New Testament. This course focuses primarily on instruction in the method. Our method combines both the historical grammatical approach & the redemptive historical approach. That is, we investigate and identify meaning in the original context of every Biblical text, and we consider the texts relationship within the redemptive historical framework. This is not a re-interpretation of the text nor is it an exegetical examination of the grammar & original context.
